Welcome to Affiliate Marketing...the most powerful marketing concept on the Internet today.
IT ALL STARTED YEARS AGO...when a small company named Amazon.com (yes, they were small back then) decided to sell books and music on the Internet. They enjoyed success but wanted to expand their reach. They provided individuals with an ID and a link. The idea was so simple. More people showing their products and a much larger audience. The Affiliate Program was born.
When a purchase was made, Amazon.com paid the Affiliate
a small fee for his or her efforts.
Now, I know this is a very simple explanation but this very simple idea took off in a large way. The Companies
loved it because they did not have pay anything until a sale was made. Affiliates loved it because they did not have to buy, stock, ship, or handle merchandise. Now, all major companies seem to have an Affiliate Program (Yes...even Walmart, Target, and Home Depot) as they now realize the marketing value of the Affiliate Reach.
When considering affiliate programs, pay close attention to the products and services offered. You'll want products that everyday people use and need on a daily basis. Promote quality products that people want and you'll make more sales. It's just that simple.
Also, it has been brought to my attention that their are programs out there that actually charge the affiliate money to promote their product or services. Is this a bad joke or what? If you come across these programs, leave and don't look back. There are too many quality companies that would love to have you promote their products.
*I also prefer and use Affiliate Programs that allow me to build a down-line and promote the opportunity as well as the product. This way, I can benefit from the efforts of others as well as my own.

* Marketing Pond is not a traditional affiliate program per say. It is actually a tool or a club in the Network Marketing format that allows a user to make money while promoting their products. Take a look as it is a neat workable concept you might find useful.
*Each of the above programs offer excellent training and the 'Best of the Best' promotion tools but, even more important, each of these programs pay real cash for the proper results.
In Summary...Affiliate Marketing is without a doubt, the most powerful marketing concept on the web today but, only you, can determine what is 'right for you'. Just remember, It Must Be Something You Enjoy doing.
